Hi everyone, first off I want to apologize for the problems with the site. The server that hosts this site had problems. (Jkain & Jipox purchase now working to…)

And the second thing is that I’ll be away, far up in the north part of Sweden until the 3:rd of August which means that no one will be able to contact me. So support questions will not be answered until that date.

The third thing I wanna tell you about is the new project (currently in planning stage). This project will be a new hash-cracker. Supporting multiple cores, GPU-cracking (If I can afford to buy a new graphic card), Word lists, Rainbow tables (online and offline) and on top of that a userfriendly graphical interface - everything written in C++. The sad thing is that it will be Windows only. :-/ And yes, all of you who have purchased Jkain or Jipox will have valid licenses for this new stuff ;-) But don’t expect to much, I might as well just cancel the project.

There’s also a update coming for the site, I’m tired of WordPress and are therefore writing my own CMS.

To get more info, support or just have a talk feel free to join #timtux.net @ EFNet

Conclusions

So, they pretty much have the same software features. iPhone got fewer then the Motorola a925 but iPhone got a bit better hardware, which unfortunately is just natural as time goes.

Is this what the mobile market has accomplished in 5 years? If it was computers we where talking about this would be a damn fiasco.

So well, I’ve read, I’ve heard, I’ve felt this “revolutionary” piece of brand new “high-tech” phone called iPhone from a company called Apple. But I just don’t get what’s so revolutionary about is, neither what’s so “high-tech” or innovative with it… do you?

Updates 10th of July

Some guys seems to have misinterpret this article. What i really meant say with this article is that its NOTHING new in iPhone which did not exist in mobile phones in the past. Sure, the features are perhaps better and “more user friendly” but it is well-a natural part of development.

Is an interface and design something that makes the customers open their wallets and the whole world talk about it? IMHO it’s not but well, for the public it maybe is; users upgrades to Vista because it “looks good” while I think it’s just a huge resource hog.

Spend the time to develop a mobile phone with super hardware instead, make it open (source), make it easy to develop programs for, that’s pretty much the mobile of my dreams - the one with no limits

Hello everyone, I’ve been busy in the recent time. Sorry for that but I have taken care of some real life problems and I’ve been to Greece (Crete/Platanias) with my lovely girlfriend.

There’s a new version of Jkain coming up really soon. Expect it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. The new version will have an increased cracking limit and some enchantments to the cracking engine and overall performance.

By the way, I’m free for work over the summer, as it’s looking now. I need some cash and if there’s anyone who needs a (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, Rails, SQL, Java, C#, Perl and Python developer - feel free to message me with a project description and budget.

Kind regards,
Tim Jansson
